In this episode, John talks about the immoral and unethical direction that he feels his profession of psychology has gone in the past 40 to 50 years.  His experienced take is that psychologists today encourage people to have symptoms. Instead of helping people come to grips with wrongheadedness, they encourage it by promoting fad therapies.  One such therapy he points to is the trend toward adolescent transgender therapy.
