Listening is hard to do for a lot of people. It's a struggle because we're so focused on listening to respond instead of listening to understand. This takes practice and effort on our end to become better. Listening to others and actually putting forth effort makes you a trustworthy ally. You also can learn a thing or two about a person if you just take the time to listen.
