Let's give these nine mindsets some thought. Here goes: focus, positivity, nothing is stopping me now, absence of self-doubt, no feelings of insecurity. I'm in control of this music, nothing else matters and I will succeed. Number nine: long hours of sight reading and putting my place in the role of composer. Works every time. It worked for me in my first performance class as a college student enrolled in a music education program. I began to play in what could best be described as a musical zone. At that moment I became one with the music and Brahms, the composer. I understood his mindset and musical training based on my training, memory and practice sessions. Thanks for listening.
