In today’s episode, Talia is joined by Ed Khouri. Ed has been in volunteer and full-time ministry for over 40 years and was ordained in 1988. He and his wife, Maritza, lead the ministry of Equipping Hearts, which serves churches, ministries, leaders, and hurting people worldwide. Both Ed and Maritza have extensive experience working with substance abusers and their families in diverse settings. They are passionate about helping equip leaders and workers to create healthy communities that promoted growth and healing. Ed and Maritza have ministered in nearly 30 nations and taught classes for students from over 70 nations.

Ed has written several books, including Becoming a Face of Grace: Navigating Lasting Relationships with God and Others, Beyond Becoming: A Field Guide to Sustainable, Transformational Community, and the soon-to-be-released, The Weight of Leadership: How Codependency and Misplaced Mercy Undermine Life and Ministry. Ed also collaborated with Dr. Wilder to create the Connexus Program including The Restarting Workbook and Facilitator's Guide and Belonging. With Dr. Wilder, Chris Coursey, and Shelia Sutton, he is a co-author of Joy Starts Here: The Transformation Zone.
