Yom Teruah, or the Day of Trumpets, is a time of blowing the shofar to awaken the people to repentance and to turn to Elohim for salvation. Prophetically we have been in a season of Teshuvah (repentance) since Shavuot (Pentecost) in the second chapter of Acts. Yeshua has commanded His disciples to "go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." He has commanded that we go to all the nations and make Teruah (a great noise), like a shofar blast, calling the world to repentance.
