You are sitting in the stands watching your favorite football team.  The person that is coming to watch the game with you is running late.  They show up 10 minutes into the game, sit down beside you, and ask the same question everyone asks at a game.  That question is "What's the score?"

The question is centered on the idea of how a team is performing.  Hundreds of hours are spent practicing or working on a project and everyone wants to know if they are growing closer to achieving their goal.  Everyone needs a scorecard to look at.  

This same idea holds true for the church.  How do we know if we are succeeding?  How do we know if we are doing a good job of making disciples?  Creating a visual scorecard that your team can see will allow them to see where they are succeeding or where their attention needs to focus on now.
