IN THIS PODCAST:
As we reflect on the readings of the day, we also reflect on the life of St. John de Britto. This holy missionary let go of his own ethnic identity and adapted to the local customs, not even hesitating to change his name as well, and he finally gave up his life for the Gospel. As witnesses to the Gospel in our times and unique circumstances, we too are called to die to ourselves, and to find our deepest identity in Christ. Let us ask the Lord for this grace to let go of narrow loyalties to find a greater unity in Him.
