In Episode 58, I’m talking about how faith slowly started to feel like home for me.

After an amazing Anne Wilson concert with Roman and our girls, I found myself thinking about how different my life looks now compared with when I first started going to church. I used to feel awkward, unsure, and worried that I didn’t belong. Over time, though, consistency changed so much.

I kept showing up. I built real friendships. Church became a community I could trust. I spent more time in Scripture, asked questions, read the Bible cover to cover, and slowly started recognizing how much God’s Word had become part of the way I think and respond to everyday life.

I also talk about how being sick lately reminded me how vulnerable we can feel when we’re physically worn down, and why having truth already rooted in us matters so much in those moments.

This episode is really about growth. Not instant growth, and not perfect faith, but the kind that happens quietly over time through church, fellowship, Scripture, worship, and simply continuing to show up.

In this episode, I’m talking about busy seasons, feeling behind, praying the same things over and over, and what it looks like to keep showing up in faith when God feels quiet.

I also share my thoughts on imperfection, the pressure to have everything together before showing up, and why the parable of the mustard seed keeps standing out to me lately. One of my favorite things about Scripture is that you can come back to the same verses years later and notice something completely different because you are in a different season, asking different questions, or simply ready to understand something you did not see before.

In Episode 54, I’m talking about spiritual gifts, enduring difficult seasons, and how to keep moving forward when you still aren’t completely sure what God is calling you to do.

James chapter 1 has been speaking to me lately, especially the reminders that trials can grow our endurance, God gives wisdom when we ask, and hearing His Word should lead us to actually live it out. I also look at 1 Corinthians 12 and talk about what spiritual gifts are, why they may not always look as obvious as the labels in a list, and how we can begin discovering them through prayer, Scripture, service, wise counsel, and noticing where God is already producing fruit.

Roman and I have both been wondering what God may be preparing us for next, so this episode is also an honest conversation about trusting His timing while still taking faithful steps forward.

You are not giftless, forgotten, or behind. God may already be developing something in you that will become clearer as you continue walking with Him.

This week, I’m talking about a message from 1 Corinthians 13 that really stayed with me: everything we do, especially the hard conversations, needs to come from a place of love.

I share what that has looked like in my own marriage, why being right is not enough when our heart or delivery is wrong, and how Christian community gave me an opportunity to laugh, serve, and work through some of my fear of public speaking.

Then, after such a great Sunday, I woke up feeling discouraged and unsure of my direction. That led me into Ecclesiastes, where I was reminded that there is a time for everything, God sees the full story, and one difficult day does not mean He has stopped working.

This episode is about speaking truth with love, trusting God’s timing, taking our thoughts captive, and continuing to move forward when we cannot see the next step clearly.
