In this message, Pastor Chad unpacks what true kingdom greatness looks like as we continue in Matthew's gospel.

Jesus has already called a little child in the midst of his disciples who are all wondering...who is the greatest in the kingdom?

Jesus tells us point blank, unless we CHANGE and BECOME like a little children who are totally dependent on the Father we'll never enter the kingdom!

Next, we meet the rich ruler who is trying to EARN his way into the kingdom by good works...with humans it's impossible Jesus tells us...but with God all things are possible!

And then our text in Matthew 20:25-28

Jesus called them together and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. [26] Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, [27] and whoever wants to be first must be your slave- [28] just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

The path towards greatness is a downward path of humility in sacrificial service to others in Jesus' name and through Jesus' power.
