In tonight's episode we see Ezra in despair over the all-to-familiar scene of the Israelites succumbing to the ways of the surrounding nations that are detestable to the Father. In response Ezra finds himself in the most honest posture that every sincere Christ follower has found themselves when failing to live diligently unto the Lord as you had hoped: face down in prayer, humbly before the Father appealing to His lovingkindness. It's His love that gives peace when peace doesn't make any sense, and it's when we humble ourselves to the posture of prayer that we can most experience it.
