Hi! Thanks for tuning in! Today on episode 24, we are celebrating my birthday! This episode is being recorded on Thursday October 15th, and October 16th when this episode comes out, it is my birthday and I am 36 years old.
I wanted to celebrate turning 36 by sharing 35 things I loved during my year of being 35: a favorite quote, a memorable experience, products I loved, the best craft I did in my 35th year- just to name a few. I hope you enjoy.

Hi! Thanks for tuning in! Today on episode 23, we are a table of one, a reservation for one, a home all our own: we are talking about doing things alone, namely dining, traveling and living. I’ve been thinking of this episode topic for awhile, as someone who really enjoys spending time by myself.
Now, I have personally felt the difference between being alone and on my own vs. being incredibly lonely and sad, so I totally acknowledge the difference and empathize with people who are feeling alone by default right now, but I want to focus today on the joy of spending time with yourself and how to make the most of eating, exploring and building a home by yourself.

Hi! Thanks for tuning in! Today on episode 22, we are talking about habits and hyperfixations. Habits run in the background for me, while hyperfixations feel almost magnetic- they love to wrap me around their finger and say, “do you like surprises? Okay! Come with me!” I’ve got good habits, bad habits, and man do I have a list of some hyperfixations that have been a mix of weird, a mix of helpful, a mix of “what was I thinking?” Today is less me talking about building good habits vs. bad, self-diagnosis, or how to pull yourself out of a hyperfixation wormhole, and more just being open and giggling a bit about the things I do, things I don’t do, and things I REALLY do.

Hi! Thanks for tuning in! Today on episode 21, we are doing our monthly taste test, where I taste test something fun! I saw a social media trend going around of "weird" food combinations. Not in the sense of unusual food concoctions like pickles and peanut butter, more so ingredients paired together that trick your brain into thinking they are something they are not. I’ve also got a fun topic paired with the taste test today, I’m calling it EMPTIES. We are going to go over recent home, food and beauty products I finished and if I would repurchase them or not. A fun, simple, relaxing episode.

Hi! Thanks for tuning in! Today on episode 20, we are talking about a milestone- in just a few days, I am hitting my one year mark of sobriety. For almost 365 days, I have been saying no to drinking alcohol and I have some experiences, thoughts and feelings to share! I really don’t have advice or tips, as I am so not an expert on this, so today’s episode will just be story time! I’ll explore what started out as sober curiosity and turned into bigger realizations about myself. Today we are going to cover:
-Memory lane: what did my drinking past look like?
-What happened, what changed, what’s next?
-Sobriety bingo- what’s on the card you may ask?- firsts, lasts, and things I’ll never miss again!

Hi, thanks for tuning into Bedtime Snack. Rachel here, and today is actually not a full episode, rather a quick check in and to share some family news.
With much sadness, I wanted to share that my dear cousin Danna and her two young sons tragically lost their lives in a devastating plane accident. Her husband Craig lived through the crash initially but has since passed away. They are survived by their two older, teenage children. There are no words for what these two kids are facing. They’ve lost their mom, their dad, and their two little brothers.
I’m taking the week to be with family, attend services, and grieve this unimaginable loss with them. I appreciate the time to take a little break. Next week, on Thursday the 17th, there will be a fresh episode for you, all about my hitting a year of sobriety.
Until then, I will really try to remember to take a breath, take care and unclench my jaw. Those things seem so little compared to the tragedy life can throw at you, but they, along with love and support and community, really can do a lot during a difficult moment.
Thanks for keeping my family in your thoughts. I’ll miss you, and I’ll be right back.

Hi! Thanks for tuning in! Today on episode 19, we are about to have so much fun. As Taylor Swift once said, “August slipped away into a moment in time”, and now we welcome in the -ber months: September, October, November, December. It’s still hot as heck in the Arizona desert and we’ve got pool days left on the calendar for sure, but to me, in my mind, summer is coming to an end, baby. I am welcoming in the new season with open arms, and I’ve got a few fall things I want to chat about. Today we are going to cover:
-My autumn bucket list- we’ll go over all the things I want to do this fall and a few quick tips to build your own autumn bucket list.
-A quick fall decor chat- plus tips and suggestions to build a cozy, nostalgic fall season
-Fall Flicks- I have built a complete weekly schedule of feel-good films to watch between now and Christmas

Hi! Thanks for tuning in! Today on episode 18, it’s gonna be real simple and cozy- we are doing our monthly taste test, today it’s gummy candy, and we are talking about my current comforts! I hope that sounds relaxing and fun, I have had such a nice time prepping it. The topic was inspired by two recent episodes of the A Beautiful Mess Podcast, one titled “Comfort Objects” and the other “mini comforts”, where they talked about little comforts you can employ to fix a bad day.
We’ll try 8 gummy candy varieties, and then have a little list of what is bringing me comfort lately- like Elsie and Emma of A Beautiful Mess, I tried to focus on small, free or inexpensive things that don’t take too much effort.
