This week the Motivated Martial Artists Jackson White and Gavin Cook talk to undefeated five time taekwondo world champion World Champion Mr Roger Lawrence.

Roger started his martial arts career from a young age he was invited to join one of his friends lau gar club and later was also invited by another friend to join their shotokan karate club in fear of upsetting one of them Rodger decided to go on his own path and join a taekwondo club after seeing a poster of Grand master Paul Donnelly doing  a jumping kick through a tile board this inspired him to take up martial arts and he hasn't looked back ever since.

He has won five World Championships, seven European Championships and 12 British Championships, while also captaining the England Taekwondo team from 1994-2002.

Roger teaches at the Liverpool School of Taekwondo and the Oldham Taekwondo Academy and has been doing the sport for 34 years. For the last four years, he has been running courses for children aged four and above in Oldham and Liverpool and has visited multiple schools in Saddleworth to teach local children. The Oldham Taekwondo Academy is based at Waterhead Academy and its foundations are “to teach children courtesy, integrity and perseverance through Taekwondo”.
