Beer Facts:

  • The first Bell's beer was brewed with a 15-gallon soup pot. Larry Bell sold his first commercial beer in 1985.
  • Bells Two Hearted Ale is named after the majestic two hearted river in Michigan's upper peninsula.
  • In 1992 a 15-Barrel system was installed: A long way from the original soup kettle, a larger brew system is installed. They still brew on this system to this day.
  • In 2010 Larry Bell wins brewers association recognition award. The Brewers Association Recognition Award is presented each year to an individual or company whose inspiration, enthusiasm, and support have contributed to the craft brewing movement.
  • Available consumer package purchases are in a 6 pack and 12 pack in cans or bottles, a 16 oz can, on draft, and my favorite, a 19 oz can.
