On opening day 2023, Major League Baseball (MLB) rosters showed a significant ethnic diversity, with 40.3% of players coming from diverse backgrounds, including 6.2% Black, 30.2% Latino/Hispanic, 3.2% Asian, 0.53% Pacific Islander/Native Hawaiian, and 0.21% Native American. Still, and I found this hard to believe, 60.5% are white.
