Non-musical history for today: 1960 – The United States Navy submarine USS Triton completed the first submerged circumnavigation of the globe. It remained entirely submerged for 60 days, 21 hours, only rising to periscope depth for navigation/ventilation and once to pass a sick sailor to the USS Macon, without breaking the “submerged” status. Impressive, but man, I bet those sailors were in dire want of sunlight.
Music history, album anniversaries, birthdays, and deaths for April 25.
Recorded in the Omniverus Podcast Studios at Liberty Plaza.
