Non-musical history for today: 1898 – Caleb Bradham’s beverage “Brad’s Drink” was renamed “Pepsi-Cola.” In the soft drink world, I’d say that Pepsi isn’t really in my favorites list. I don’t mind the cherry-flavored Zero Sugar version. And, where I’m from they are the distributors of Dr. Pepper, which is my favorite, along with the cherry and cream soda versions. Zero Sugar is my go-to on those.
Music history, album anniversaries, birthdays, and deaths for August 28.
Recorded in the Omniverus Podcast Studios at Liberty Plaza.
