Non-musical history for today: 2013 – The U.S. state of Mississippi officially certified the Thirteenth Amendment, becoming the last state to approve the abolition of slavery. The Thirteenth Amendment was formally ratified by Mississippi in 1995.
The fact it took them that long to even ratify it was preposterous. It was even more ridiculous that they didn’t certify it until 18 years later.
Music history, album anniversaries, birthdays, and deaths for February 7.
Recorded in the Omniverus Podcast Studios at Liberty Plaza.
