Non-musical history for today: 1915 – D. W. Griffith’s controversial landmark film The Birth of a Nation premiered in Los Angeles. While I don’t believe it was actually supposed to sensationalize racism and hate groups, it did, nonetheless. The second coming of that “Christian” group with three Ks was based on that film.
