Beeswax Vinyl Daily — January 2, 2025

Non-musical history for today: 1974 – President Richard Nixon signed a bill lowering the maximum U.S. speed limit to 55 mph to conserve gasoline during an OPEC embargo. There were more reasons than that, I think. States were permitted to apply to raise the limit to 65 in 1987, and it became law (with some restrictions) in 1991, signed by Bush I.
Music history, album anniversaries, birthdays, and deaths for January 2.
Recorded in the Omniverus Podcast Studios at Liberty Plaza.
