Non-musical history for today: 1917 – Arabian troops led by T. E. Lawrence (“Lawrence of Arabia”) and Auda ibu Tayi captured Aqaba from the Ottoman Empire during the Arab Revolt. I’m sure you knew this, but yes, Lawrence of Arabia wasn’t just a fantastic film (and it was), it was basically an (embellished) account and biopic. See the film if you haven’t.
