Non-musical history for today: 1667 – The first human blood transfusion was administered by Dr. Jean-Baptiste Denys. With the help of a barber who was also a “surgeon,” he put lambs blood into a young boy who had suffered from non-stop fevers. Supposedly, the next day, the boy was alert and fine. I have my doubts.
Music history, album anniversaries, birthdays, and deaths for June 15.
Recorded in the Omniverus Podcast Studios at Liberty Plaza.
