Non-musical history for today: 1462 – Vlad the Impaler attempts to assassinate Mehmed II, forcing him to retreat from Wallachia. This became known as The Night Attack at Târgovişte. The battles went back and forth. Finally, Mehmed went to take care of Vlad. He found a shload of Turks that Vlad had impaled. So, Vlad’s nickname was spot on.
