Non-musical history for today: 1973 – In horse racing, Secretariat won the U.S. Triple Crown. This was accomplished by winning the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes, and the Belmont Stakes. There were eight horses to accomplish that feat before Secretariat, and four did it afterward. The most recent was in 2018, when Justify won it.
