Non-musical history for today: 1631 – The Massachusetts Bay Colony outlawed the possession of cards, dice, and gaming tables, primarily due to strict Puritan values that prioritized diligence, sobriety, and religious piety over leisure. Just another reason I think the whole idea of religion is stupid. But, that’s just me.
