Non-musical history for today: 1770 – Five Americans, including Crispus Attucks, were fatally shot by British troops in an event that would contribute to the outbreak of the American Revolutionary War five years later. This is known as the Boston Massacre. Stephanie and I stood at the site in 2018, and a particular wind came around us; a chill followed, and I thought I could almost hear the gunshots. It’s eerie, and it’s horrible.
