Non-musical history for today: 1773 – The Parliament of Great Britain passed the Tea Act, designed to save the British East India Company by reducing taxes on its tea and granting it the right to sell tea directly to North America. The legislation led to what? Yep, the Boston Tea Party.
And one year later, 1774 – Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette became King and Queen of France. People lost their heads! Well, at least Louis and Marie did.
