Non-musical history for today: 1978 – In San Francisco, city mayor George Moscone and openly gay city supervisor Harvey Milk were assassinated by former supervisor Dan White. It started as a disagreement about a drug rehab facility and escalated over time. White said he meant to kill two other people that day. White ended up killing himself by carbon dioxide suffocation in 1985, two years after his release from prison.
Music history, album anniversaries, birthdays, and deaths for November 27.
