Non-musical history for today: 1959 – Bonanza, the first regularly scheduled TV program presented in color, was launched. When I think of Bonanza or Ponderosa, though, I think of the steakhouses, not the homestead of the Cartwrights. Incidentally, both steakhouses were founded by Dan Blocker who played “Hoss” on the TV show.
Music history, album anniversaries, birthdays, and deaths for September 12.
Recorded in the Omniverus Podcast Studios at Liberty Plaza.
