Non-musical history for today: 1837 – Charles Lewis Tiffany and Teddy Young in New York City founded Tiffany & Co. (first named Tiffany & Young). The store is called a “stationery and fancy goods emporium.” I’ll be honest, I always thought the store was named after some lavish socialite whom the founders were infatuated with. When I say always, I mean up until about 15-20 years ago.
Music history, album anniversaries, birthdays, and deaths for September 18.
Recorded in the Omniverus Podcast Studios at Liberty Plaza.
