Non-musical history for today: 1892 – The first night game for American football took place in a contest between Wyoming Seminary and Mansfield State Normal. Mansfield State University (Commonwealth University-Mansfield) is the Mountaineers, and their colors are red and black. Wyoming Seminary is a Methodist college preparatory school located in the Wyoming Valley of Northeastern Pennsylvania. They are the Blue Knights with blue and white colors. However, they are more of a traditional prep school, catering to high school-aged students who compete in high school sports.
