The Magic of Horsecraft

Begin and Begin Again – Day One Dispatch

Listen Later

I’m currently on an impromptu HorseCraft™ road tour—part healing journey, part mobile classroom, part storytelling experiment. I set out with no fixed agenda, just a deep call to reconnect with horses, people, and the magic that happens when we show up with curiosity and heart.

What follows is a series of daily dispatches from the road—some messy, some magical—all real.

Here’s where it began:

🐎 Begin and Begin Again – Day One Dispatch

From Callander Bay to Shannon McManus-Becvar’s in Pembroke

I didn’t post on day one because—well—I was too busy beginning! The kind of beginning that isn’t tidy. The kind that comes with overflowing bags, goodbye hugs you wish had lasted longer, and a truck that may or may not have been loaded with more faith than planning.

I left Callander with a full heart, a half-charged phone, and a strong cup of coffee, and headed east on a route that curved through familiar roads and new versions of me.

First stop: Shannon McManus-Becvar’s Silver Tree Stables in Pembroke, Ontario - not for a clinic, but for a deep exhale and a meeting of minds. We sat down for lunch at the sweetest little spot and talked about where this work is headed, how we age and evolve alongside our horses, and what we really need to begin again in our bodies and belief systems. From that meeting, a future clinic was born—one that will welcome riders starting over, navigating fear, or rebuilding the feel and confidence that make riding magical again.

📻 Roadside Reflections – Audio Notes + Journals

I’ve been recording short reflections and roadside epiphanies as I go—raw, unedited, and voice-noted in real time. I’m now on Day 5, playing catch-up on uploads, but I’ll be posting the early days in batches so you can follow the story in real time—or time-shifted like a good podcast binge.

🧭 How I’m Sharing the Journey

To keep this easy and low-edit while I’m on the road, I’ve decided to post updates and audio dispatches publicly here, on my regular Substack. Subscribers will still get some extra context and reflections later on (maybe even a curated series once I’m home), but I want this leg of the journey to be open to all.

If something here resonates, feel free to share or subscribe. You’ll be helping me keep this dream moving down the road—one story, one horse, one cup of coffee at a time.

Take a chance,PaigeThe Magic of HorseCraft™ – Inspiration. Direction. Connection.
