Welcome to today's episode on Beginner's Mind: 4 Simple Approaches to Free Yourself from Impossible Expectations.
Teachers! Have you ever been stuck in a professional learning or development and told yourself “I already know this! Why am I here? This is not only boring but a waste of my time!” Or what about when an administrator gave you some feedback and you thought to yourself “Okay! Whatever! Next! I am the one who is doing this every day! I am the expert on what I need!”
When those thoughts and feelings come up, that is the perfect moment to practice having a Beginner’s Mind. We will be sharing so many stories of when we did NOT practice Beginner’s Mind and how we had to learn the hard way how to get curious and free ourselves from all the expectations around us and inside of us. Being an expert isn’t a bad thing.
