Everyone starts somewhere. I started with Richard Scarry books and Lord of the Rings fantasies. From being a storyteller, a reader, an artist and a musician I found my interests at 5 years old. Going over childhood nostalgia of what made me an artist up to today. Maybe it'll bring up some memories for you too.
