Behaalotcha: Gathering Our Scattered Pieces

Listen Later

In our fast-paced world, it is easy to feel scattered, fragmented, and disconnected from our center—an inner state known as pizour. In this shiur, we explore the spiritual role of the Tribe of Dan, the me'asef (gatherer), who traveled at the back of the camp to collect everything that was left behind in the desert. We discover how pausing to consciously collect ourselves—especially through the inner work of prayer—can transform our fragmentation into a grounded state of containment (isuf). By doing this, we create a vessel of divine compassion that brings wholeness not just to our own lives, but to the collective soul of the Jewish people.
