BEHIND THE NUMBER is an independent English-language psychological audio mystery series created by Finnish creator Aaro Luukinen.

It is a story about perception, memory, patterns, coincidence and our need to find meaning in the things around us.

Sometimes the mystery is in what happens.

Sometimes it is in what doesn’t.

And sometimes it may exist only because someone was listening.

Outside, Erik walks alone through the wet forest, trying to find five minutes where nothing means anything. Instead, he finds another number waiting for him.

Then a message appears:

Or something meant for whoever happens to read it?

And when an old piece of paper points toward tomorrow, the line between coincidence and pattern becomes harder to see.

Episode 13 moves deeper into Erik’s point of view — not into panic, but into the quieter fear of no longer knowing whether you are discovering a pattern or building one yourself.

Erik and Anna return to the station café. Sheila has heard the transmission. Buzz has written it down.

Seventeen was already part of the mystery.

Now there may be something else.

Buzz takes Erik and Anna away from the station in his old black Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL, to a place filled with analogue receivers, amplifiers, tapes and machines built to listen across great distances.

And there, through a receiver far from the station, they hear something impossible.

Platform Three.

The question is no longer only what the numbers mean.

It is where the signal is coming from — and whether they found it at all.
