This was such a fun episode. Cameron Treu is the Founder and Owner of Bam Bams BBQ. He’s had a job since he was 14 years old, and after his LDS mission he gravitated toward all things sales: cars, hot tubs, pool tables, RVs, alarm systems, you name it. After nine years, he and his best friend Andrew opened C&D Marketing, where they took their door-knocking skills and built teams to generate leads for local insurance agencies. But when Treu saw BBQ on TV, everything changed. He sold his half of the marketing company and dove in tongs first. In his first three years of cooking, he did everything from sell BBQ, design BBQ, cook BBQ, teach people how to cook BBQ, compete professionally in BBQ, become a Grand Champion in BBQ, move to Austin, Texas to learn from the king of BBQ John Lewis, to finally come back to Utah in 2013 to open Bam Bams BBQ. And today? His shop in Orem has become a local legend.
