For around two years, BBC factual series, Murder 24/7, followed the real-time work of detectives in the major investigation unit at West Mercia Police.

They were given unprecedented access to the behind-the-scenes work that has led to solving some of the most serious, complex and heart-breaking cases the force has ever dealt with.

The series follows murder cases in Shropshire and Worcestershire, from the chilling initial 999 calls right through to convictions at court.
