Welcome to Behind the Whisk podcast with me, Melissa Wedman.

I'm the Head Sugar Slinger (AKA) Founder & CEO of Mollycoddled Hash Slinger, an Oklahoma City based handcrafted candy company and retail store.

I originally launched this podcast during the pandemic with a focus on talking all things small business, sales, marketing and business development. 

After eight episodes, the restrictions lifted and life returned to normal organized chaos and I lost my free time to edit episodes and schedule guests. So, this platform sat stagnant for six years.

My heart around podcasting never left so I decided to get out of my own way and relaunch it with a slightly new name and a new focus.

Behind the Whisk podcast will be a behind the scenes unedited field journal of my life as a CPG founder + CEO.

The episodes may be recorded while driving to or from my candy shop, on my way to meetings, while at the candy shop or even from my home office. 

My intention is to share with you, all aspects of of the struggles, frustrations, decisions made and successes as a small business owner. 

After 10 years of launching and growing Mollycoddled Hash Slinger, I've worn and continue to wear all the hats from graphic designer and candy maker to the toilet repair gal and commercial lease negotiator.

At the end of the day, I'm a child of the 90's, a wife, mom of teens, non-profit board member, red dirt Okie and advocate for locally owned small businesses.
