Behold the Lamb

Listen Later

Is there any way possible to ascertain the dates when all of those things written in the Besoroth (the gospels) actually happened? Is scripture silent or ambiguous to these things? Not at all. Luqas is quite keen on giving us enough information to determine a number of things. For instance, by telling us that Zakaryahu (the father of Yahuchanon the Baptizer) was a priest in the course of Aviyahu, we can get a direct reckoning of the date of conception for his son (having occurred in the 10-12 week following the beginning of the year), which would place his birth in the following spring. Mashiach would follow six months later, necessarily in the fall. This is the case notwithstanding extra-scriptural wives' tales about ewes calving and so forth. Luqas is quite specific. In addition he gives us a plethora of information in respect of the beginning of the ministry of Mashiach, starting there in Chapter 3. From this, we can reckon many things, including the year, the month, the day and even the hour of the critical events of the Besoroth (the gospels).Join me for this review of this timing. May this be a blessing to you. Remember to subscribe if you wish to chat during the presentation.
