What is the “manosphere”? What is a good man? That first question is easy to answer. The second question is harder and everyone seems to have a hot take on it. I tried to define masculinity and manhood in certain ways that would be appealing to the type of person moved by the manosphere, but I don’t think we need to restrict masculinity to what it traditionally has been. What matters is being a good person, regardless of gender, sexuality, interests, quirks, etc. As far as I can tell or care a man can be almost anything and doesn’t need to be defined by “traditionally masculine” traits, but what we should care about is being a good person. Manosphere men are not good people, and therefore, not good men.
I briefly discuss reactions to current events such as I.C.E. issues and why our reactions, claims, and judgments may not be as sound as we may like them to be.

Much hesitancy was present while making and uploading this story. At the beginning of the year I had nearly a dozen topics I wanted to write and pontificate on. This was one of them. Although my upload schedule on YouTube/podcast platforms is not consistent, I'd consider this a very productive year considering I don't do YouTube for profit or with any hopes of ever doing it for profit. It is simply my platform to talk about issues I find important. I wrote my two biggest projects at the start of this year (about Free Will and Christianity) and have written much more while continuing my duties as a father, coach, and student pursuing a double major. So, I am quite content with my output. However, I am not uploading this with perfect peace of mind. Part of me is wondering whether I am uploading this just to say I completed my earlier goal of uploading it. There is personal information in this video that could potentially be used against me. However, knowing the good it has the potential to do, I have reached the conclusion that the good of uploading will most likely outweigh the (if any) harm.
If anyone is struggling with mental health issues please talk to someone today. Here again is a resource: https://988lifeline.org/ The visuals were added in this video I guess just because I wanted the creative outlet. The pictures were a mix of pics from my fights, pictures I took while living in Washington, and some stock photos. It isn't the best work, but I grew some inspiration from Horses, and wondered if the visuals could help my engagement. I don't write to get viewers, but I acknowledge the topics I want to discuss have bigger influence with a bigger audience.
Anyway, you should check out Horses: UCrx2zrPjhGRi9TwszZiLwEg

As provocative as this title may be, I decided to keep it since it shares the technical terms which are simply too relevant to omit. Nothing in this essay is intended as ad hominin, and I wouldn't share anything which doesn't provide silver lining or an imperative. So, as offensive as this title and topic seem, it is not directly offensive; it is merely offensive in that it is a critique of some bad ideas which people find comfort it which are sadly prominent today. Linked below are where the terms I used originated. Stay guided by reason, and motivated by love.

I'm a weird person and this is a weird way to share what's shared. I'm not always nice or sweet. I show love with the austerity of a fighter or a philosopher. It's not normal to discuss an ex in this way, but I hope this post sparks in you a desire to learn more for our species' well-being and motivates you to treat your loved ones with the love they need. This was originally going to be a 3 part series, but I turned it into 4 to make it a bit more digestible. Life's been hectic, hence the random upload schedule I have, but I still have things I'm writing and I have messages I care to get out. So, I'm still here doing this thing. There's a lot I've been reading and I look forward to making videos on some of that so stay tuned. This and the next few essays have points which don't exactly sound nice. I try not to personally attack, however, I am pretty passionate about some of this so some righteous anger comes out in this and my next two uploads. Although it may sound harsh at times, it came from a good place in my heart. At this point I'm just rambling, unsure of what to put in these descriptions sometimes, so.... For the sake of not fragmenting your attention, I included video for my message. So, for better or worse my face, however ugly, is in this one.
I included a few studies/stats. Check out the description under my video Attention, Satiety, Satisfaction for the links to those. Perhaps this video was more stern. It is still, however, delivered out of concern for the well being of other people.
Apologies for the bad audio. I am on a family trip and did not have access to my recording equipment. RIP Charlie Kirk. Commentors, please keep it civil.
This is the section from my longer essay found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HloZPko_QgI&t=7688s Initially I was unwilling to cut up my long-form essays into smaller pieces because it leaves some to cherry pick and strawman certain arguments without the full context. To some degree, I was proven right with this conjecture with my essay critiquing religion- the full essay was extremely well received, yet the smaller clips I uploaded were taken as contentious and provocative. Needless to say, being contentious and provocative was never my intent. My true intent always has been and always will be to use practical philosophy to better the world, indulge in learning, and have a fun creative outlet, among other things. However, this essay was 4 hours long and, understandably, many did not listen to the full thing, and I obviously wrote this to be listened to. So, I will upload this into a handful of smaller sized videos such as this in hopes it will be listened to. It is far from perfect, but after recently re-listening to it, I want many of the points I made to be heard. If you disagree with me, just know that I am on your side. I write what I write in order to help people and am convinced of what I write until I write an update. So, if you disagree with me, please comment below; I love discussion and truth-seeking. However, if you think I am attacking you because some of my essays are controversial, understand that is not the case, and I would appreciate civility in the comment section. Thank you all.
