Qashus chops it up with Sikandar Atiq, President of venture-capital firm Next Equities. He is a heavy hitter in Edmonton, investing in fields such as health care, education, farming, dry cleaning and manufacturing. He is also the founder of Kepler Academy, a childcare company. Atiq is also the chair of The Mosquers Film Festival since 2018 -  a festival that features Muslim culture from Alberta and around the world.
