Being an artist is not a label, it is what one does. It is not a carefree, easy life devoid of responsibility. On the contrary. It is a high level of commitment to the work often accompanied with great sacrifice, uncertainty, doubt, and fear, yet do the work regardless. It is ceaseless dedication with the goal of creating works that move or inspire others. To the public eye it may seem glamorous however, it is 99% grind and 1% shine.
