This connection came from out of nowhere really, I was talking with a friend of a friend about a potential podcast show needing guests and coincidentally he was a graduate from a broadcast journalism course and he put me in contact with Michael. After some phone calls he agreed to record one and was enthusiastic about paying it forwards to help the new wave of new comers.
It was my first time talking about journalism specifically and got a real sense of what it's like from Michael's work in the field, whilst all the time weaving advice in for new comers. Also a good talking point on social media where broadcast filters into these new platforms which become new new norm.
