As a disciple of Jesus, It is not only possible for me to hear the voice of Jesus, as He primarily speaks through His Word, but Jesus also declared it to be so. In today’s episode, we will take a look at why Jesus specifically said, “My sheep listen to my voice,” when He could have said, “My sheep read my words.” Anyone who has ever sent or received a text message, email, or even a written letter understands this phenomenon. Let’s just say the messages don’t always go over as expected when they are not verbalized. There is a crucial difference between a person’s words and a person’s voice. With the intonations, accentuations, and emotional expressions carried in a word or utterance (a single grunt can topple an empire or destroy a family if left to fester), you can better understand the complexities of a persons communication, and their heart behind their words. Thanks for joining us today for this episode. I’m Stephen, and this is The Lite Disciple Podcast.
