The Lord Jesus has drawn us as believers unto himself. By God’s word and through the Holy Sprit’s leading there is now a company of believers in the Lord Jesus who are formed in Christ. In this address, you will hear what the scriptures say about being drawn to Jesus.

 

Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation

Matthew 11:28-30“28 Come to me, all ye who labour and are burdened, and *I* will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest to your souls;30 for my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

John 12:32-33 “32 and I, if I be lifted up out of the earth, will draw all to me. 33 But this he said signifying by what death he was about to die.”

John 14:18“I will not leave you orphans, I am coming to you.”

John 17:24-26 “24 Father, [as to] those whom thou hast given me, I desire that where I am they also may be with me, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me, for thou lovedst me before [the] foundation of [the] world.

25 Righteous Father,—and the world has not known thee, but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. 26 And I have made known to them thy name, and will make [it] known; that the love with which thou hast loved me may be in them and I in them.”

Matthew 23:37“37 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, [the city] that kills the prophets and stones those that are sent unto her, how often would I have gathered thy children as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!”

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 “16 for the Lord himself, with an assembling shout, with archangel’s voice and with trump of God, shall descend from heaven; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; 17 then *we*, the living who remain, shall be caught up together with them in [the] clouds, to meet the Lord in [the] air; and thus we shall be always with [the] Lord. 18 So encourage one another with these words.)”
