Amobi Okugo is a veteran of the professional soccer ranks having made his professional debut in 2010 after being drafted sixth overall by the Philadelphia Union. After a five-year stint with the Union, Amobi has spent time with Orlando City FC, Sporting KC, the Portland Timbers, and most recently Austin Bold FC.  

His professional ventures don't end on the field however. Amobi founded and developed A Frugal Athlete, a site to highlight the prudent financial decision-making of athletes across sports, as well as provide a resource to other athletes and those interested in living a life well-spent. A host of a podcast series of his own as well as videos and articles, Amobi is taking on financial literacy head on in both the athletic world, as well as everyday life.
