On the Being Home With Hunker podcast we feature Sarah Sherman Samuel, a designer whose work includes interiors, textiles, furniture, and artwork. She’s been featured in Architectural Digest, Sunset Magazine, Dwell, and Domino, to name a few. Maybe you were among the many who swooned when you saw the redesign of actress Mandy Moore’s house? Yes, that was Sarah’s work.
Sarah recently launched three new websites: Sarah Sherman Samuel (her design portfolio); SSS Edit (a redesign of her personal blog); and SSS Atelier (a virtual gallery of her plaster artwork, large scale silk screen tapestries, and vintage finds – all for sale.)
She is a designer and artist who is happiest when she’s creating – and sees the beauty in imperfection. As she says, she likes her house and her furniture to have “a little bit of wonk.”
If you’re wondering how she has time to do everything that she’s doing, you’re not alone. She gets this question a lot. And her answer might surprise you.
