Have you ever been in a position where God was taking too long?

A few years ago, I was listening to a sermon by some pastor who spoke about how his wife always complained about him not opening the car door for her. After countless days of nagging, he eventually gave in… and bought a car with central locking. Praise the Lord for central-locking, but I’m sure there are far fewer women who feel as loved and respected by central-locking as they do by a guy actually opening the door for them. One of the lessons that I had to learn this year, is that the fastest way isn’t always the most effective. Sometimes you need to take the long way round.
