When you gather for family holidays, what topics do you avoid? It’s almost a running joke: steer clear of politics and religion to keep the peace. But it's in these moments, amidst potential division, that I'm reminded of my role as Jesus' representative.

Ephesians 4:1-2 urges us to "live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love."

Even when opinions clash and emotions run high, there's wisdom in scripture urging us to live up to our calling with humility, gentleness, patience, and, crucially, love.
