In this story, Jesus shows us how he felt about sin. How he dealt with sin in the story and is the same way he approaches us today when it comes to our sin, which is with love and grace. This doesn’t mean that he agrees with what we are doing, nor can he ignore it because of how costly and deadly it is to us, he loves us too much to not take it seriously. He says anyone who sins (which is all of us,) is a slave to it. He wants us to be freed, and through Him is the only way we can be. His character is just, and his law is perfect.
